CORDIS has developed a new interactive platform to help with consortium and proposal building. If you have expertise to offer, or are looking to complete a consortium, the platform can help. The system allows profiles to be set up which are associated with open FP7 calls. You can then search for those offering expertise or proposing a proposal.

A new function of the platform is the ability to set up of groups around a topic or proposal. You can form or join a group (restricted or open) for the building of the proposals or for discussion. There is a blog facility, an area for uploading documents, for example sections of the proposal, and a calendar for the group's use. Some of the groups already set up include:

• Bakery technology and research
• FEED-SEG (use of biological active plant materials in animal feeds)
• Functional foods
• Horizon 2020
• Marine bioactive materials
• New plants and new uses
• Sustainability
