The BetaEurope website has been created by Beta Technology on behalf of Defra (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the FSA (Food Standards Agency). The website provides an outline of the FP7 and LIFE+ programmes and details the National Contact Point (NCP) services available; specifically in the areas of:

Defra, has contracted Beta to provide a service to assist UK stakeholders with help, advice and information when understanding and accessing funding within the Seventh Framework (FP7) and LIFE+ Programmes.
The Food Standards Agency, has contracted Beta to provide NCP service for the (FP7) Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology theme. The service is aimed at organisations with interests in the food and related sectors, in particular at consumer groups and enforcement bodies to increase their engagement with Framework Programme research findings and funding opportunities.
